I woke up this morning to the news of another bombing in Israel. Click on the links for news reports from Haaretz, Arutz Sheva & Australian ABC.
It sort of puts things in perspective. More Jews being killed for nothing.
While the problems in our school are extremely important and need to be addressed urgently spare a thought for the Israeli public who has to deal with matters of life and death every day.
Maybe we should stop vilifying the organisers of the Gush Katif demonstration and realise that they are motivated by the situation in Israel. While we may not agree with all their tactics unless we move to Israel we are fairly impotent sitting here in Australia.
I think that we should all take some time out today to say a few extra kapitelach tehillim for the victims of this latest atrocity and the situation in Israel in general.
May their murders be avenged! More holy Jewish martyrs we do not need.
ReplyDeleteAs for the so-called villifying the local Orange folk-especially in times like these we do not need Jew to march against Jew in the diaspora.
It's WWIII. The whole world will soon be engulfed in this madness.
ReplyDeleteAD MOSAI!
every jew, 10 arabs.
ReplyDeleteMy heart aches. The land that many died for is being given to self professing haters of us all. Why is it that when those of us speak out, we are termed "luneies"? I was told that political action was not the way to go, but I believe that protest (in a constructive and thoughtful way) AND Tfilla, Tzedaka and Torah Mitzvot should be done together. This is a situation that was brought on by politics and a lack of knowing our religious rights and duties. If we do not stand firm and let it be known that this "evacuation" is suicide, no one will.
ReplyDeleteHistory is repeating itself (re. Herod). Look to your current events. Is giving up (not back)the land changing the way our "cousins" are interacting with us, or the rest of the world for that matter? Things have escalated. Is this the "peace" that sacrificing our birthright has bought? The sound of the shofar is sounding...do you hear?
