This newest of Jewish holidays falls out today (28 Iyar) and marks the reunification of Jerusalem after the Six Day War in 1967. By all accounts it was an exciting time especially for frum Yidden as we were finally able to daven at the Kotel and walk in the old city of Jerusalem in relative safety.
